¿Alguna vez te has preguntado como decir: «conformarse» en inglés?
Los nativos usan este tipo de expresiones muy a menudo, pero también podemos usarlas dándoles un toque de nivel. ¿Cómo? Vamos a ver un ejemplo:
Si se conforma bien. En caso contrario, es donde hay que poner ciertos límites.
Muy natural para conversación entre amigos. (La que Norman usa siempre)
-If she settles for it, great. If not, that’s where some boundaries must be put into place.
Inversión muy buena para C1/C2 con «only after». ¡OJO! «In versión en la segunda parte de la oración (Formal)
-Only after she does not settle for it, do we have to draw the line.
Buena inversión para C1/C2 con «only when». (Formal)
-Only when she does not settle for it, must we draw the line.
Conformarse = Make do with something = Settle for something =Go along with something
-As long as she makes do with it, great. Otherwise, that is where some boundaries must be put into place.
-Providing that she makes do with it, then fantastic. Otherwise, that is where some limits must be set.
